Police Lathi Charge on Anganwadi Workers in UP: Kalinga Express


Thousands of Anganwadi workers protesting from the morning on Monday demanding enhanced honorarium have been beaten and beaten by the police on Tuesday. Angry women protesters also started throwing on the police who came in hand. Dozens of women protesters were injured in the lathi charge and the stampede. Many Anganwadi workers were admitted to the Civil. Many female policemen, along with media workers, were also injured in the conflict run from both sides. In spite of lathi charge, the Anganwadi activists have announced to continue the encroachment in the GPO Park.


  



  Anganwadi activists from across the state had started gathering in front of the Gandhi Statue in the presence of the Anganwadi Employees and Assistant Association on Monday. After the arrest of several leaders including the organization's president, Gitanjali Maurya, women started jamming the road. The police under pressure released them in the evening. After the police's persecution and after the release of water from Lathi Charges and Water Cana, the Anganwadi activists remained frozen all night on the road.
  In the late night, the police once again took away one and a half dozen Anganwadi activists, including state president Geetanjali Mrarmiya, Maha Parishati, and Shadow, and took them with them. Since then, the demonstrators were not ready to do any kind of talks without the release of their leaders, while the officers of the police remained firm on releasing the leaders after leaving the road. Throughout the day, police and administration officials were busy trying to remove women from the road, but women did not agree.
