Liquor seized about 2.2 million before Gujarat election: Kalinga Express


A liquor of Rs.2.2 million has been recovered before the assembly elections in Gujarat. This situation is when there is a complete ban on liquor in the province. The police said that this is the biggest recovery in recent times. The assembly elections in Gujarat will be held on December 9 and 14.
  The Election Commission said on Saturday that the state police seized five foreign vehicles (IMFL) and five vehicles worth Rs 24.15 lakh from Kharoj village of Gandhinagar on Friday night. This wine was filled with 75,968 bottles.
  In view of the Assembly elections, Gujarat Police has started a special campaign against liquor smuggling activities in coordination with neighboring states of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh.
